Pharmacy monster CVS has a terrific program for generating revenue and cash flow. Pharmacy assistants are now calling customers in off-peak times and saying, “We see you have a refill due soon. Would you like to take care of that so you can just swing by and pick it up?”
It’s smart because it requires no special skill set, it builds brand loyalty and continues locking in customers to commodity products that gets them into the store for higher margin goods. CVS has been a marketing machine in the last year, embracing the web for those who want to be there and calling others.
